“Tastes like dirty feet with a subtle hint of urine.”

– Jack’s analysis to Lexxy after daringly swigging his first drink at a bar on the planet Adulon.

“Ode  To The Suicidal Immortal”

Oh that death were his friend, the man without an end.
He staggers through the centuries, a strong drink in each hand.
He has died a hundred times, but never did it hold.
Making life intolerable, for someone ever so bold.
He sees his immortality, as somewhat of a curse.
His days merge with apathy, his passion lacking thirst.
He drinks away the days, and many of the nights.
Finding ephemeral pleasure, in taking his own life.
There is a comely vixen, who brings back his desire.
Taunting him with challenges, that riddle him with ire.
She too is undying, though she sees it differently.
A passion for existence, that approaches ecstacy.
Together they are endless, in spirit and in form.
They thrive upon each other, taking the world by storm.
But her adventure seeking, always pulls them apart.
And when she goes upon her way, a sadness fills his heart.
With this comes the solitude, his thoughts return to death.
Without her life is worthless, he yearns for that last breath.
And he would dare not tell her, she would not understand.
Without him she is everything, with him she is the same.
Her absence makes him wonder, if he could ever change.
But then his thoughts go bitter, with apathy and the pain.
Roaming the earth for all of time, he envies mortal men.
For they have something he does not, a life that will one day end.
